Hey there, this is a warning to anyone that's working on anyone else's guns or even borrowing anyone else's batteries..
MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE SHIELDING ON THE WIRES ARE INTACT OR PROPERLY REPAIRED!!
I recently received a gun from a client that wanted some work done to it.
When I received the battery it was taped up in 3 sections, I erroneously assumed that this was to make installation of the battery easier.
Upon completing the gun, plugging in the battery and testing it, it shorted out, heated the plug up red hot and almost caused a fire.
I'm normally paranoid and extremely carefully handle and inspect LIPO... but now I'm going to be checking EVERY single battery that comes across my bench.
Stay safe!
