ICS stocks screw into the rear post directly. Since the split mechbox contains the spring guide (where you usually screw the stock), you can't have the gun split and have the screw on it.
The detachable rear post has threads at the end to attach stocks. For example, a LE or Crane stock for ICS will have a 1" screw instead of 3-4" for regular AEGs.
You will need a longer screw, there is not any other solution unfortunately.
