It sounds like your trigger loop isn't pushing the hammer sear far enough. If you have to pull hard, I'm guessing that either the trigger is bottoming in the frame opening or the rear bow of the loop is bottoming at the beavertail just as the sear gets close to releasing. If wiggling the trigger around at full pull gets the hammer to release, then it's very likely that the rear bow needs to be bent rearwards a bit.
