You said you loaded a midcap as you flanked the tangos, leading me to think your gun wasn't loaded up until that point, which is what I was getting at.
You also said your guys behind you were shooting and wasting their ammo, which suggested that you weren't shooting, so it didn't seem like you needed to reload, which is why I found it strange that you would load a mag as you were flanking if you didn't have a mag in there already, and if you didn't have a mag in there, that's why I asked that question.
