That was my point, I bought the weapon for a specific role. If you want to go with a specific role you will need to pay the right amount for a quality weapon.
Now I'm not against someone buying a low price weapon to get started. I've seen lots of people buy the Kraken and have a great time. But when you get serious you will want to spend more. You don't have to (at least that's what I keep telling my wife,lol) but you will want to get something better.
My thoughts on price points are:
$0-$200 - canon fodder
$200 - $500 - grunt/assault team
$500 - $1000 - marksman
$1000 - $1500 - entry level sniping platform
$1500 - up - sniper
These are my ballpark prices for the different roles. Helps me decide how much I need to have on hand!!
