the micro switch will not change the length of trigger pull: the cutoff leaver needs to disconnect the switch once tripped by the sector gear, or semi fire will not work.
i have a micro switch in my VFC 416 in a ProWin split gearbox, and i had to modify my switch assembly in order for semi to still function. the reason why i put a micro switch is really simple: i use LiPo batteries with an Extreme-fire FCU in my buffer tube, and i never liked the feel of the normal switch in AEGs. with a normal switch there is no real positive feel of the switch through the trigger, so you have to pull the trigger fast and all the way to make a quick shot. on the other hand, the micro switch gives the trigger a nice "click" feel when pulled. this i find advantageous as you can feel when the switch assembly makes contact with the micro switch, so you can pull the trigger partially and not worry about the gun shooting untill you push the micro switch.
a micro switch should not be used without at least a mosfet, since a normal battery setup will cause an arc and can "weld" the micro switch closed.
