Snipers, when buying the "good ones" (IE: Not this) will cost anywhere from $500-$1000 worth up upgrades to be better than an AEG in terms of accuracy and range.
A "good stock sniper" (IE: a Maruzen, Tanaka or TM) will have the same range and accuracy as a stock AEG (IE: TM M4).
I recommend you get AV'd and pick up a Classic Army M15, as its a usually readily available, relatively cheap at the usual $500 and has a good track record for being a beginners gun.

a TM vsr10 will out range and have much more accuracy than a stock TM aeg.
Also recomending a $500 CAm15 which is obviously not the sportline as a beginners gun? how about a crapsoft G&G, thats more of a biginners gun than a high end CA. Hell even a premium G&G would be a cheaper more beginner friendly gun than a premium CA which would suite a more experienced player.
