Well, since it's from a video game... they have a lot of liberty with how their characters look... also, since the game is from the mid/late 90's, they were pretty keen on keeping the models as simple as possible. It
was a bird's eye RTS after all...
My suggestion would be to look up real Brit Commandos, and submit those pictures for clarification, otherwise you might as well have a family member knit it for you and call it whatever you want, because it's all make believe anyways.
