Don't recommend storing in the fridge. The cold will cause the orings and seals to shrink and harden(temporarily) which will also promote leaks.

How much gas are you storing them with? All you need is a 1 second fill on an empty mag. Open them up and give the main seal a silly oil bath to swell them up real good. Reinstall and give it a short fill. Worse case, blue gasket the main seal. I'm assuming it's not leaking out the valves.
