These inner barrels are designed for guns shooting 1J or LESS. Anything higher will give you the spiraling "knuckleball" trajectory that you're experiencing.

One Joule is equivalent to 328fps with 0.20g BBs. This is equivalent to 278fps with 0.28g BBs.

That's a very unfair statement to make. The barrel is of Japanese origin, and meant for Japanese domestic use where their guns are limited by law to 1 Joule or less. For guns that shoot within this limitation, this is one of the best barrels you can get. I personally use Twist barrels in all of my guns that shoot around 1Joule or below.

It is documented that going beyond 1 Joule will affect accuracy. My personal level of acceptance for degrading performance is at 350fps with 0.20g BBs. Beyond that, it's useless. Between 328fps and 350fps, you can see a degrading level of performance, but it's not so horrible that you still couldn't hit a target.

Still, the ideal limit is <1Joule.
