Update on the trigger pull problem. It came back after the initial "fix" so I took the whole gun apart and found that the valve knocker was not sitting in its groove properly. After I put it where it should be its smooth as a whistle.

Edit: still working on the weak shot problem. I have swapped outer barrels, inner barrels, blowback units and hop up rubbers, cylinder bulbs and its springs, loading nozzles, recoil springs (but not hammer spring) and hammer struts. I've tried the mags i use with this gun with other GBBs and they fire fine in the others. I think I also swapped the chassis at one point, with no success.
