But still, it'd be like buying a $200 clone shotgun (like a DE or UTG) but having a slick well made stock on it, and if the gun busts, it's cheap to replace and swap your painted shell parts over and the stock. Ends up balancing out after, and is worthwhile IMO. And since I bought the shotgun, I bought a couple shell holders, have a dozen shells now, so I'm in pretty good, $80 for a stock was a pill to swallow, but I ran out of options and didn't want to use the gun without a stock, so I ran with it. Don't regret it now.
