I'm not sure if its the battery or the charger, but heres my problem.

I have a g&p 12v cranestock battery, brand new.
I have a universal smart charger.

I plug the battery in to charge on 0.8v setting, it charged for about 2 hours, and the light went green. I tested the battery to see how it worked, and half way through a hi-cap mag it dies. So I set it to charge again.. and the light is red while it charges. However, it only stays red for about 15-20 mins and then the light goes back to green to indicate that it is fully charged.. when it is not.

Whats going on?
