You can play with whatever you like provided it shoots under whatever the host set the game limit at.
Sniper rifles are generally frowned upon with new players as they tend to shoot extremely hot. If you're playing inside, you'll be raped by guys with automatics or even semi automatics.
Contact the host of the game you're playing at to find out what FPS is allowed etc.
