I personally don't like mini batteries at all. Even the more expensive ones either don't last very long, or just can't provide the current required to operate my gun the way I want. 2/3A cells just don't cut it for me for 350+ fps guns.

I've made the switch to 4/5A cell battery packs and the difference is night and day. Most of my Armalites are loaded with a G&P crane stock or HK417-style stocks. 2000+ mAh 9.6V batteries work wonders in AEGs. They can deliver the current required to torque that motor over quickly (I tend to use high torque motors) for minimal trigger lag, and give me a consistent rate of fire.

But of course, my favourite are always sub-C cells. And whenever I have a gun that can use them, I do.
