UPDATE: so my scope has come in today.... thankfully it has the proper allen key to fit into the botton of grip where people have been telling me to raise the motor... heres what happens:

I start to tighten the motor.. assuming its being raised, and the drilling noise becomes more of a high pitch sound... i lower it back down to the original standing and its the moderate drilling noise... i lower the motor some more... and it becomes a more harsh sounding drill.. like its catching some sides.. but the gun still does not give me the same dry fire sound as it used to... any ideas now?

Thanks, still appreciating the help.
