yep when shimming you have to put the screws back after each try to properly set the shimming... that is what makes shimming LONG.... personally i dont put ALL the screws back... only 3 around the gear "casing" and remember to shim each gear one by one, meaning that you put the spur gear, shim it then add sector gear and shim it and finish with the bevel gear
