I like the heat shield idea, though I think it'd look odd when put on the gun, like it'd make it suspended to low... Maybe its just me being anal about it though. Also, I think if I use the heat shield I'd have to attach it to the rail system first and then attach the shotgun, and I want it to be an attachable/detachable thing. I wish I had the money to cannabalize a 203 though, but my friend might sell me his... Can just the mounting system be removed I wonder?

Also, could a Mossberg 500 work better for a Masterkey?
