A 9.6v battery is pretty much the only thing you can do for $50.
A higher ROF serously increases the stresses on the mechbox's internal components (and the shell itself), so you generally need to do a lot of supporting upgrades to run a high ROF rig.
Of course, when a new player wants high ROF, my question is always "why?"
Oh, and I'm referring to the ICS gun. Any "upgrades" you do to a walmart or crossman gun will more than likely cause it to explode.
