I think you bought a plastic G27 that was wrongfully advertised, I am sure that you can sort this problem out with Christian from Shootsoft especially since they come to many games in the Quebec area. In person he is not the same guy

KJW G27s have in fact the plastic slide and the metal slide models, I only carry the metal slide in my store and haven't seen the plastic slide model.
