Buyairsoft.ca has a horrible track record do not buy from them. You don't need 1000$ of dollars for a gun but after getting the gun and getting the gear you like you'll probably find yourself over, Besides shooting targets all day isn't very fun compared to Skirmishes and Military Simulation game.
I am no elitist but the bare minimum is a Kraken Aftermath Ak-47 which would bring you around $150 and a Can of spraypaint. That will brig you over $120 but Having a automatic gun instead of a springer that you can upgrade and repair as your addiction grows. The Kraken you can repair when it breaks the M-14 Spring rifles is simply tossed into the garbage as it has no replacement parts. No one else in Canada sells that specific model because of low demand and it is not worth the price tag.
