I had heard that BB's stored in Army Issue boxes shoot 10% straighter...and lunches packed in them stay 20% fresher.

Storing a cold cut/egg salad sandwich in a metal box left out in the sun is a bad idea. Check with your mom first about proper food storage...they know all types of useful stuff.
