I bought my M24 in 2003, got it used and damaged for $500, came with a good Bushnell scope, shitty CA made bipod (Harris clone, made from the softest aluminum I've ever seen), had the CA full upgrade kti in it and it sucked ass, hard to cock and nasty trigger pull. Wasn't too hard to figure out how to make it shoot nicer, better, easier to cock, etc. and I added parts to it over a couple years and learned how it behaves. Seeing the BB come out of the barrel of a sniper rifle is a lot different than an AEG, the BB actually rises about a foot within about 50ft, flies flat for about 100ft, then drops off. Makes it easy to predict where the BB will land. And I'm talking about the way mine is set up, full hop up and using heavier BBs (currently the 0.36g Bastards, and as pointed out, I've been running 400fps w/0.20g BBs all year and love it, way better than any other velocities I've had it at in past years, including 430fps, 440fps, 470fps, 490fps, 515fps and once 587fps).
