The "random" nozzle position in both semi and full is completely normal. It's a factor of your spring strength, gear ratio, motor and battery.

Semi should be a bit more consistant in resting position vs. full...but it really doesn't matter.

I'll try some silicone oil next. This gun was apparently a wall hanger for a couple of years so it probably dried out a bit. Where exactly should I put lube on the nozzle (I.e. inside it, around it, etc)?
