to crank a bigger spring for more shots you need more CAPACITY, voltage will help but it's not the main parameter.
Capacity cranks harder, voltage will rise the ROF.
Capacity is not enough to tell the crankage power since it's the related DISCHARGE RATE that's gonna make the work.
(usually, bigger capacity with bigger cells= greater discharge rate)
So if you take a 2000 mAh battery with a very poor discharge rate (smaller cells usually) you'll get no improvement.
So if you have enough room, you want a 8.4 or 9.6 Nimh pack with BIG cells and a capacity bigger than 2000 mAh.
