I'm kind of screwed now. My part 27 just exploded lol. Unfortunately I think the mod would not have worked anyways, the shear points were past the reinforcement struts.

I revived the new aluminum hinge plate! It's a little different fit but it is awesome at its job and hold the folding portion of the stock WAY tighter than the plastic hinges.
