I just removed it and reattached it to the bottom rail drill 2 small holes and your back in business it's not perfectly straight but for a light or laser it doesn't need to be...

so far so good I have had it for about 6m and no problems the only thing is it's nihm ver nicad you can't peek a nihm it's a little more delicate but again I personally have had no trouble with it...

started with a 9.6v but now have a 10.6 from here...
