Should be perfectly flush inside and out, as thundercactus said.

A lot of people like to cut it just a hair shorter than the window to make sure it doesn't pinch at the front....

Selector plate looks fine, trigger contacts are perfectly clean, cutoff lever looks fine and it working properly. I don't see anything wrong...

I'm using the standard 8.4 which came with the gun, which is a Lancer Tactical M4 RIS.

It isn't bursting or full auto-ing, it's either firing properly semi, or just full auto, and full auto works...

Tolerances shouldn't be too hard to compensate for with some spacers or whatever, unless it's a totally horrid model, then you'd want to spend more. And yeh, a $7 scope won't be great, but 1-200...
