mp5a5 help

my mp5 is not working so well i think it has something to do with the wiring but the problem is. Is that the gun will shoot full auto for a but then when i stop and try to fire again nothing happens. I can hear the "click" every time i pull the trigger, the click is from the motor it sounds as though it is stuck then if i pull the trigger multiple times it will start firing again. i took the motor out to see if that was the problem and it spun when i applied power its a tm eg1000 motor and i'm pulling a 1.5 joule spring. the gears are King Arms High Torque Helical Gear Set. i'm also thinking that it could be shorting because the hand grip plate is metal and the connectors to the motor have metal shown.

any help will be appreciated.

thanks

What are the details on the battery you're using?
Probably not powerful enough.

Check the motor plate screw......might be either too tight or too loose. I have sort of the same problem with my M4 AEG. Pull the trigger a couple times on full auto or semi and it stops. Gotta take off the motor plate (In battle) and re-connect the motor leads. Makes for a fun round of airsoft.

Oh, and like stated above, it may be the battery. Are you using it outdoors? If so, you can expect this to happen unless you have some way to keep the battery warm. Next time it happens, try putting the battery somewhere warm (I stuff mine down my pants) and see what happens. Also try another battery.

Troubleshooting......woooooooo.....separates us from chimps.

i'm using a tenergy 1400mah 9.6V. i think a 9.6 should be enough to pull that spring and the battery it and the wiring get quiet warm when i pull the trigger and the move but that cause of resistance. what ill do is ill recharge my battery see if thats the problem. I found a shim in my tool box so i think my gun is missing a shim or two.

is your battery in the forgrip? if it is and two tight play around with the fitting because mabey your wires are to bent, kinda happened to mine.

it's not the voltage that pushes, it's the discharge rate.
The rate is function of the capacity, so in that case 1400 COULD be too low, or you battery is discharged/not properly charged.

Tenergy batteries are shit, plus a mini battery is going to have a lot of trouble with a spring like that. Most likely won't work like you experienced.

majorairsofter March 4th, 2010 16:59

alright well i probably didn't discharge it right i don't have a discharger also so should i install the stock spring tonight then

Jimski March 4th, 2010 17:28

you don't need to discharge nimh, just charge it to the max.

wait, it's really not clear in this thread :(
did you change the spring for a stronger one? in that case your battery's too small.
Use at least 2000 mAh.And also the cell size matters. Some >2000mah batteries with super small cells WONT pull that spring.

I don't know how much is 1.5 joule. if it is over 400 fps@.20 your battery's way too weak.

all fixed you guys and thanks for the help everyone
