mp5 sling mount

the little "c" shaped metal peice came off my mp5 body so i cant attatch a sling onto it, is there anything i can do to be able to attatch a sling?

Cant you attach a sling onto the end of the foregrip area? There should be a quick detach pin with a big hole through it.

yes but then i have my gun hanging from the front end with the barrel pointed in my face. i have a 1 pt sling that was attacked to the back

How're are you holding it/carrying it, so the barrel is in your face? :S

I'd say just sling it up the way I said, if theirs no alternative. Carry it differently or dont sling it at all. <3

Unfortunately I cant think of anything that does not require you to purchase something new. Do you use a full stock? You could always attach it to the side of the full stock if you have a full stock that is. Short of creating one of out spare materials you have laying around the only thing I could recommend at this time is to purchase a replacement part.

i have a 1 point sling. the back sling attactment peaice came off the gun. so if i put the sling on only the front of my gun, it will hang with the front part faceing off. before when i had the 1 point sling on only the back the barrel was facing down.

i have a retractable stock. before on the body i had a little metal loop on the body. now there is two holes in the body.

am I right to assume that the clip you are talking about is the clip on the side of the mag well?

if so, how do you manage to use a 1 point sling attached to that?

take a picture or find a picture of the piece you're talking about. exactly which mp5 do you have?

Tex February 18th, 2010 18:32

On the retractable stock MP5's there is a metal lope for slings on the end cap I am sure that is what he means. Not the clip by the mag well or at least i hope that is what he is talking about.

ya tex has it thanks

ah yes, the slither stock end cap. haven't had one of those on in a long time.

RW is out of stock. could just go with a full stock, folding stock or see if someone can order it for you.

sarosh February 18th, 2010 18:59

alright thanks. i think im gonna stay away from the 1 pt sling once i get a replacement peice. i think the gun was to heavy to be supported by the little metal piece.

you could go with a full stock. a sling on it will support the weight and also hold a large battery.

sarosh February 18th, 2010 19:17

id like to keep the retractable stock so back to the original question do i need to buy another back peice or something?
