Hey just got one of these from 007 Airsoft. I'd read nothing but good reviews and for the most part I'd agree. The gun looks great, feels great when it fires, etc...however sometimes (as in more often than it should, 2-3 times per mag) it jams a BB between the mag and the hop-up chamber so that the slide cannot return back to it's resting position properly. Is this a common problem? If not what can I do to fix it?

This is my first GBB, I really like it, but would like to have this solved. Also, what is necessary regular maintainence for a GBB?

I was at Panther paintball on the 14th and a player had that same problem. BB gets jammed between the feed tip of the mag and the begining of the hop-op chamber and holds the slide back a little. I tried to help him by lubing the slide and such but it only helped a little and didnt get rid of the problem. The player said that if he inserted the mag with a little force behind it it didnt jam.What I should have done was tried my mag to see if it was a faulty mag.

Since you are only in abby and I'm in mission I can show you how to tear it down,clean it and reassemble it if and test it with my mag if you like.

As far as gbb maintenance,watch this vid. You will need to fsat forward as the pistol demo isnt until the end.

Keep it clean. If you run propane, use silicon or use green gas. Make sure your mags don't leak. I dropped a mag from my M9. Mag won't hold gas anymore.

These issues happened with my non cansoft USP when I used shitty BBs, use BB bastards

same exact thing happenned to me with the same gun. I tried BB bastards and it still the same problem. the thing that seamed to work is silicon lube. After I lubed it it seamed to work fine.
No issues yet.

Thanks all, I'll try some different stuff and let you know what works. Ken suggested taking off the hop-up and seeing if that helped. Has anyone else tried a similar solution?

nah its the shitty bb quality that does that....happened on my friend USP.....

+1. Mad Bull's are alright, but I find that KSC Perfect 0.20's run the best through my KWA USP out of the few BB's and weights that I have tried so far.

Definately try some different BBs.

Quality BBs are often the difference between reliable feeding and stoppages. I'd make that my first attempt as well. I swear by BB Bastards and MetalTech because neither have ever caused jams in any of my guns. KSC are hit and miss, and constantly jam up in my KCS G17 (go figured - KSC BBs don't work in a KSC pistol) and also jam up in several of my other AEG mags. I've never had Madbull BBs (competition grade ones at least) feel reliably in any of my guns.

I suspect it's just slightly out of spec. Either the fit between the slide/frame or the nozzle/blow back unit in the slide.

It's kind of hard to do...but you might be able to see it happen.

De-gas your mag...don't need any propellant and your face might end up close to things.

Load up a bunch of bbs...fill to capacity to check the fully compressed power of the spring (which obviously pushes really hard against the stack of BBs).

Do all of this slowly.
- rack the slide back manually, as far as it will go...the nozzle should retract, or at least retract far enough to be behind the bbs.
- let the slide go forward slowly...controlling the speed by holding the slide. Try to see exactly where the "foot" of the loading nozzle is contacting the BB in the mag (make sure you're not holding the mag up in the gun...it's just locked in there normally).
***hard to see in this pic, but you can see the foot/leg/pusher/whatever on this hicapa nozzle...should be similar in principle to your nozzle.

- The foot should contact the BB, push it out of the mag, push it up the feed ramp an into the chamber. Obviously a lot quicker in real speed.
- Then as the slide recoils (taking the nozzle with it) the leg/foot/whatever will pass over the mag and as the tip clears it's letting the next BB up into feed position.
- Repeat that process a bunch of times...slowly. Is the nozzle retacting back enough each time to pick up a bb cleanly? Is the nozzle contacting the BB on center or just below center? Is the BB hanging up on the feed ramp? Do the bb's ever flick out of the feed lips as the nozzle retracts?
i.e. is everything consistent for each load/retract cycle?
- Repeat for the whole mag of BBs, obseving each time...try some when you are pushing up on the mag...does the position of the bb change a lot?

- don't worry about the bb in the chamber from the first try...the next bb should push it down the barrel
- if the bbs are almost flicking out of the feed lips when the nozzle retracts, see if you can close the lips a bit (not always possible)...don't load so many in the mag (causes spring tension to be pretty stiff)...never release the follower of an empty mag so that it flies full tilt into the feed lips (opens them up and/or damages them)
- if the nozzle is hitting above center of the BB...it might cause the slide to ride up over the bb and either dry fire or half assed kick the bb out of the mag and cause a jam. You can try other nozzles/mags...I fixed a couple of my own by gently heating the foot/leg/whatever and bending it down a little...then filing the tip so that it picked up the BBs nicely. On most setups, having it contact the BB's at center or just below is just right.
- if the BB seems to catch on the feed ramp...take a close look to see that there aren't any corners/burrs that it's catching on.

Then you can repeat by refilling the mag with BBs and manually racking the slide back (quickly) and letting it go forward on it's own. If a pistol is working properly, it should rack/feed 100% of the time racking it manually (hold it level and "normally"...not pointed down at a garbage can or anything like that).

If none of that is conclusive...buy another mag. If that doesn't work...junk the pistol.

I just experienced this jam with a KSC (same as KWA) USP Tactical.

I fixed the issue by applying some silicon lube on the feed ramp, using a Q-Tip.

I'm looking at one of these pistols. What type of slide/barrels do they accept, like KJW or what? because I want to get a threaded barrel so I can add a silencer. I want to buy in Canada, I don't want to deal with headaches from dealing with Canada customs so I can't order from ehobby or some other store like that. Can NS2 and System 7 parts interchange?

As far as I know NS2 and System 7 are the same thing! KWA and KSC parts are proprietary from other manufacturers! If you want a silencer on the USP, just buy the Tactical version!
