7.4v ~2000 MaH LiPo in SRC G36 (full size)

In battery shopping today what I found was that I can fit a standard size 7.4v 2200 MaH LiPo into my G36c, but that something in the foregrip shape of the full size G36 makes this impossible. Is there a battery or a mod that will allow me to fit said battery into the gun?

Thanks for your help.

A 7.4v 2000mAh LiPo is the size of a 8.4v mini. It fit without any modifications.

Yeah...except that it didn't. I'm aware that they are the 'same size' but there is some very slight difference in the shape of the hand guard that made it not fit. The normal cell mini's that are rounded slide right it, but LiPos have more of a square shape and it didn't. Am I the only one with this problem??

What is the brand of the pack you bought?

Some pack will not fit because LiPos can be made any shape. That is the reason why they can make some that fit in a buffer tube and some that fit in an PEQ15 both 1200mAh.

I didn't buy them yet. But they were dynamite brand I think. Checked two other brands as well (maybe viper and hypersomething?) I had the guns in store and the '36c fit and the full size did not. Very frustrating. Has anyone else had this problem or is it really just with those particular brand?

For a gun running as an MG36 is it worth switching to LiPo or should we just pack two 1500 Mah NiMHs?

You are checking at the insanely overpriced brands.

Check here:

Best price after shipping.

Look for Turnigy/Rhino brand.

They are both decent.

Also, the major reason why you would want a LiPo in an MG36 is that a 7.4v pack will be able to drive that mechbox for a whole box mag, even if you take some 1400-2000mAh packs. The small mini just does not cut it.
