Tokyo Marui cansoft is here!!

As the title say, Frank at velocity arms has done it again.

After browsing some sites for a new AEG I took a look at Velocityarms.ca to find this.

interested, but i've heard thier armalite line is their weakest, though could this be a prelude to better things?
Is TM seeing Canada as an untapped market?

pusangani January 14th, 2010 00:47

if they're export versions (i assume) ynot do away with the low fps

yuhaoyang January 14th, 2010 00:49

That's nice and all... but $500 is in the area of a regular black TM M4 on the classfields...
Also I doubt TM are willing to swap in a higher fps spring due to the plastic bushings and spring guide.

$500 for a cansoft, something which is supposedly legal, yet still going for 2 times the overseas prices?

Wow...

Wow...

well they are his lowers so they must be put in manually, also he has to make a profit along with TM, and essentially your paying for the brand name.

Rock 'N' Roll Outlaw January 14th, 2010 00:58

Well I figured that much. But the whole purpose of these is that they are easier to import and carry less risk. The whole reason we have high prices is because of risk, and demand with low supply. So the clear lowers are supposed to be a bypass to all that. Yet they are still twice as much as overseas prices? Am I the only person who sees anything off center here?

Brakoo January 14th, 2010 00:59

Look at other Cansoft version, in some cases they're sold for a lot more than 2 times the price of the regular version. People still don't seem to understand what TM guns are made of. Give me a break with your low FPS complains, we're talking about rock solid internals that needs nothing changed out of the box and will last you for years.

pusangani January 14th, 2010 00:59

cansoft is generally marketed for noobs, and we all know noobs care about only one thing in a gun, and that's fps

*edit*
and the low fps wasn't a complaint, just an observation, I don't use TM aeg's black or clear so it makes no difference to me, it's just that Japan's laws force TM to keep their velocity's low, so if they are making guns for export, these laws might not apply and they could take advantage of that, then they really would need nothing changed out of the box.

Oh trust me, I have criticized those too. But this doesn't excuse the lie of "Canadian Legal" while still having prices comparable to our black evil guns.

That price turned me off, Glad to see that they care...I hope the Quality carries, it says NEW GENERATION when you click on the pic.

I wish my "Black Evil" guns sells for $500 I'll buy more, The last time I remember paying under $500 for a TM aeg was back in 1997 - TM MP5 SD6 $300 and a TM CAR15 for $350, paying $800 for a slightly modified TM M16A1 from Zeke or Systema can be compared to buying a PTW at present time and only affordable by a few at that time. $500 for a TM quality AEG now is a deal.

No one ever said Airsoft is cheap sport to get into.

ShelledPants January 14th, 2010 01:18

To me, CanSoft is just the market moving away from ASC, take that as you will.

cooney January 14th, 2010 01:20

Not another AR cansoft...

If it's TM don't be surprised to see their complete line available to Canadian market soon
