Upgrading an AGM MP-40

Hi,

I bought an AGM MP-40 and I would like to upgrade the internals to get a more reliable gun. I know the mp-40 is based on a modified V-3. What upgrades are recommended?

What is it putting out right now? What do you wish to see increased?

Mp 40 may not fit a 9.6 battery so if you want to increase ROF you need a new motor or switch to Lipo (add a MARK III mosfett for safety).

For Fps use a m110 spring along with A bearing spring guide, V3 cylinder head, bearing piston head and polymer piston (1 metal tooth).
If you want a cheaper fps increase and willing to fix broken parts just drop a m120 spring and cross your fingers ;)

Either way replace hop bucking and nub with scs spacer and hard rubber bucking.

That should do ya some good.

for basics just regrease and reshim it. that should last you a while

thanks for the advice; for some reason I managed to fit an intellect 9.6V 1600mA in mine and it works fine.

Nice! A local guy plays with an mp-40 but I never really looked at it to close so I couldn't say if it would have or not. Well find the barrel length and put in a tight bore barrel and replace the hop-up bucking to get more reliability.

And how does that increase reliability?

You trust that it will shoot where you aim it? :p
