Ok I must have screwed up

So I have an ics m4 sir and i took the gun apart to measure my inner barrel. As i was doing this i pulled the charging handle out and in doing that something happened to the spring. The charging handle will not spring back into place and when i try to put the inner barrel back in and then the cylinder the spring just bends and bunches up making it impossible to put the gun back together.

Anyone know what i did wrong and how can i fix it?

You stretched the spring. You need a new spring.

You can buy a new charging handle spring!

It happens lol.

damn those springs stretch awfully easy. thanks for the answers.

the gun will still work perfectly fine with out the charging handle though right?

Yep, you might need to pull the door that exposes the hop-up by hand though.

Thread jack.

I accidentally pulled my changing handle too hand last night >.>

Anyways, I have a replacement spring, but the piece of black plastic that goes between the charging handle and the body, the part that interacts with the fake bolt.

Any ideas where to find a replacement?

caker_chris October 26th, 2009 22:19

thats no big deal, as long as the gun works. Now i just have to find myself a spring.
