Outer Barrel/ Body Compatibility
 

I have a G&P cqb front end that I'm going to install on a G&P body. I'd like to swap out the 10" outer barrel with an Element 14.5" outer barrel. I read a post about compatibility issues with G&P bodies.

Would the Element barrel be compatible with the G&P RIS? and more importantly would the barrel be compatible with the G&P body?

Should not be a problem, the issue was with the different type of treading on the barrel nut, as long as you are using a G&P nut on the G&P body it should be fine.

even if it isn't - you can buy a tool for about 30 bucks that converts the threads - the only difference with G&P bodies is that the threads are too shallow to accept anything designed to fit a Marui. The thread width etc is perfect but if u use the appropriate die to carve them out to the right depth then ur sorted - ur G&P body becomes usable!
