M4/M16 Metal Body

i was just wondering if this body is compatible with G&G M4's M16's
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_inf...oducts_id=5499

Don't worry about telling me not to order it from the states, because i'm not going too

Probably, yes. But I'd reccomend going with a higher quality metal body.

The body is to the externals as the Shell is to the mechbox. If you're body is fubared, your gun is totally fubared. (And I've seen hit and miss from clone companies)

Stick with companies like G&P, King Arms, Madbull, etc etc for such an important piece.

Keep in mind that if you buy a G&P body, you are limited to using G&P rails and front ends unless you start doing some serious work to the body, like re-threading the upper.

Nothing wrong with Echo 1 metal externals. They're not the best out there, but they're tougher than the plastic body on the G&G. So I don't see what the problem is. If one can get better, than it's always recommended. But IMO, there's nothign wrong with that body. Hell, my DBoys C8 body has seen a lot of action and taken some serious abuse and has no problems anywhere. As far as I'm concerned, Echo 1 make higher quality bodies than DBoys.

BTW, you never mentioned one way or another, but if it's one of the G&G Blowback models, standard bodies won't work. as the inside of the upper is slightly different to accomodate the modified V2 mechbox and the blowback mechanism. If it's a standard G&G, then yeah, it should fit fine.

Haha, it states the material is steel, I highly doubt that.

I highly doubt it's steel as well.

lemegacool August 30th, 2009 19:03

more like monkey metal... aka zinc alloy

mkeras2 August 30th, 2009 20:33

i'm gonna ask airsoftgi if it's steel or not

theguy August 30th, 2009 20:38

If its an echo one, its probably a reband of a JG with trades added.

Theres defiantly no way that its steel

mkeras2 August 30th, 2009 21:21

i'll probably go for the jg then seeing its 20 bucks cheaper

theguy August 30th, 2009 21:26

Its up to you, but i would lean towards a better brand. You will almost definatly have to modify the JG body to fit your G&G

mkeras2 August 30th, 2009 21:29

in what way?

theguy August 30th, 2009 21:34

Cheap brands tend to have low tolerances for parts, The odds of everything fiting perfectly are low.

Sure, tollerance issues are a possibility with any brand, but higher quality brands have better quality control, and have a better chance of working better.
