It started as one of those "ALL METAL BODY!" G3's that seem to have no brand name, or lube on their gears.

And all those horrible little rubber plugs trying to hide the screws that hold the ashtray-nice body halves together.

I think we know How I felt about the purchase now...It's the ONLY thing I ever got from Airslpat, and I blame ME fully. I'd seen one in a store and was hoping there was more than one version, and I'd get the nice one.

So I tossed it into the "bin". Nobody survives "the bin" (thunderclap).

But a half-built gantry crane I'd tossed earlier was laying under it, and an old LPEG loading tube was there at the right angle, and my brain said "flamethrower".

Like any good tinker, I developed this idea, using the juice from six cans of beer. M, beer. Ask your Mom first (it might be her beer).

Grandpa once told me you can't make a race horse out of a pig. But if you're crafty, you can make a really, really, fast pig.

This was all I managed to tear loose.

I guess I should take some pliers to it (get medieval) and bang it up so this somehow sounds true...

+1 on the district 9 gun, those guys really made a cool and functional looking weapon... anybody else wonder why aliens never have accessorized weapons? I wanna see a crazy alien microwave gun with a flashlight and an RDS
