Anyone know where to find some for cheap?

I'm trying to get into airsoft, never tried it but the idea of it has always attracted me and I'm finally 18, but I want to get my clothes first before I start playing so I don't end up being one of the tee shirt, jeans, and white runners douche's that it looks like everyone hates.

Also: Some US sites say they will ship to Canada, but there's a slim chance the airsoft gun will get taken by customs. Are they just BS'in to get sales? From what I understand it's pretty hard to get them across the border, never mind this 1% chance of getting taken crap they talk about.
