Clothes / Linge de rechange

Do I need to bring a change of clothing for my first game? Will I be too dirty to get into my car?

Est-ce que normallement on apporte une rechange de linge pour apres un match, est-ce que je doit m'attendre a être trop sale pour entrer dans ma voiture?

Depends where it is but No you shouldn't bee to bad to get in your car. You won't need a change of clothes or anything of the sort for most places. Ofcourse rain and such could change that but it shouldn't be too bad.

I ALWAYS bring a change of clothes or a used bed sheet to put over my seats.

Never take a chance, bring something.

Of course if you are dressed like a "christmas tree soldier" (i.e. in full battle dress like a real soldier with tons of gizmos and pouches and thingies) you might have a hard time crawling around and thus might end up pretty clean since you won't crawl around.

Personally, I play with a small load and always find myself crawling around so I always have a backup to avoid messing up my car.

I usually will have a t-shirt or other items to de-militarize myself at least 50% before driving.

I always bring platic or garbage bag to put my dirty boots in. So they dont dirty my car or trunk.

Spare clothes.... On a ugly day for sure.

would you really wear BDUs in public? Just take t-shirt n jeans with you so you can change afterwards, and go eat =p

I always bring spare of everything, even underwear... Hey you never know, when it rains, its not comfy to do a 2-3 hours ride with damp underwear and socks... So i always carry an extra... I barely use it, but hey, at least it's there if i'll ever need it... I got my lesson once... lol

I just head straight home after a game so I just get in my buddies car and off we go. Haven't had any games yet where I've been completely filthy, boots sure but the rest not so much - but at the same time the field I've played at is, well, a field so it's just a tonne of tall grass, overgrown shrubs and trees.

Only thing that happens at the end of the day is that I end up soaked with sweat due to holy fuck humidity.

It's pretty much the same as paintball without the paint. You do get dirty and dusty (but you don't get any paint on you) and it's really up to you whether you want to change or not to keep your car clean.

Personally I like keeping my car (READ: my parents car) free of dirt and dust so I don't have to vacuum/clean it as often.

No matter what I still change, however it's just because I don't like wearing full BDU's and all that while driving/getting a ride. At least change out of your BDU tunic and put on a t-shirt.

Reckless August 2nd, 2009 13:43

it really depends where and how you play... I run a pretty stripped down kit, on the drive too and from I'm just in my BDU pants and the rest is civy

as for dirt in the car... I'm a mechanic, drivers area of my car is always dirty, no matter how much I wash up after work. car goes in for a full professional interior detail/shampoo once a year.. it's just a fact of life, so personally a lil dirt from the field in the car is the least of my worries ... that.. and I have a 3 year old...

On sait jamais!

You know, there is truth to this. I used to play with a light load (bdu and mk23) and I got hella dirty from jungle crawls and shit.

Now I'm kinda tanking it up (bdu, heavy rifle, sidearms, explosives, big LBV, radio, elbow/knee pads, backpack and integrated camel pack) and I find I don't crawl around at all.

Interesting observation.
