Better Gun?
 

Ive decided between 2 guns. Both are used, and have around 500-1000 rounds through them.

1) Tokyo Marui FAMAS Sv. Comes with 1 Mag and the gun. Most likely a battery and charger. $225

2) Airsoft Elite(never heard of them) MP5 SD5. Comes with 1 high cap, and 3 low cap mags, battery and charger. $280

I'm basically going on performance and durability. The FAMAS is ~280fps and the MP5, the guy said was 300fps.

where are you getting a TM famas for 225?

He said it was genuine TM, but idk. What does one usually go for?

Airsoft Elite MP5's are rebranded ICS, usually sold with a stiffer spring.

Yeah TMs are anywhere from 300-600 depending on condition and model for their standard AEGs

Go for the FAMAS. TM is the only company to have ever made a FAMAS, I thought. And that gearbox lasts forever, I hear, with great rate of fire.

Buy both. IMMEDIATELY. Those are fantastic prices for Canada.

The FAMAS can't travel that far in terms of upgrades though because of the motor... I wonder if there is an aftermarket TM V1 motor, hmm.

Buy THE FUCKING TM $225? OMG I PAID FUCKING $500 for a used M4...

get both, keep the famas, sell the mp5, make more then your money back.

JP makes a FAMAS, if its a JP FAMAS, then you are getting what you should pay for, if its a genuine TM, it's a steal, and you should definitely buy it.

I love my TM famas. if its a real TM, that is an amazing steal. Dont worry about upgrades, it doesnt need any, it runs great stock.

TM FAMAS in Japan are selling for 20,000-22,500 Yen that's about 225-250 USD. I would say that most airsoft shops have at least 1 sitting on a the shelf.

Version 1 Gearbox is the absolute worst gearbox to work on. If anything breaks you need 6 thumbs and 8 hands, and eyes on your fingers tips to successfully put it back together. I've worked on two and I will never again touch them.

But for CDN prices you are getting a deal buy them both and sell the one. Personally FAMAS is a wall hanger.
