Repairing an AEG...new gearbox needed

Hi to all!

A friend of mine have got broken his v2 gearbox (from a Dboys M4) and he´s looking for a budget new one...what would be your choice? JG, Dboys, Cyma?

Kind regards!

Out of the three listed I would choose JG over the other two.

JG are the best TM clones avaliable, IMO

JG ftw, JG also clones the systema gearbox.

JG, My V3 has lasted alot of shots and is still good. Recommend shimming them though.

V3's are not V2's, you can't really compare them.

I've never really got this statement... The Systema Gearbox is good.. all quality parts and everything like that... but it's still a fairly standard V2 box...

How does JG clone the Systema box directly? Aren't they just making another drop in V2 box?

(Forgive my un-knowingness... I don't deal with clone stuff)

How many parts are you going to replace? If you are going for the JG v2 gearbox then you also have to replace most of the internals, if the gun is metal then its okay to replace the gearbox. If the gun is plastic then its just better to buy a new gun and just use the old one for parts because its gonna cost you as much as the gun itself.

The clone gearboxes are reinforced. The new versions come with helical gearsets, also the motor is a decent amount stronger than most stock motors, it's also annoying how it starts picking up my tools from inside the pistol grip. When they say clone, they even clone the Systema box it comes in lol, without the last 'A' of course.
