New Crye Precision online store open!

Hey All!
I have been watching and waiting for some time for the Crye Precision online store to re-open... They have released an entire new product line (well, at least an entire revised product line!) and it looks great! All of their gear is now available in colors other than Multicam!

For about 3 months (at least) they weren't taking offline orders or even giving out prices to the public. I've been wanting to grab some of their gear and review it for quite a while... Now I can, as soon as I can afford it anyway! :-p

Has anyone tried out ny of the new-gen gear? If so how was it?
I'd be interested to hear opinions of the new designs that the have now too!

wow. by visiting that site, it just makes me depressed that i will never be able to obtain or afford all that amazingly cool gear. now im sad :( (no seriously i actually am)

It would be exceeding rare to have anyone in Canada witrh Crye Gen 2 stuff, up until now.

I think I'll try a set of the sand Gen 2 combats, I already have a set of Gen 1 in Multi-Cam. From what I understand though, you need to go through a middleman, you can order from Crye direct. Crye will direct you to one to broker the deal.

According to the site, you can order and pay via CC and they ship internationally. However, they don't accept CCs issued from non-U.S. banks. AMEX may be the only way to go.

I thought that just meant that they didn't accept weird overseas credit cards... Given that VISA sand MasterCards are always actually issued by VISA and MasterCard themselves and just re-branded by the banks.

That being said I am probably amazingly wrong!

I'm trying to decide whether I should buy a pair of the Field Pants in Sand, or the Combat Pants in MC. I carry a lot of gear on a day-to-day basis and the Field Pants look great for stowing all that away, but the Combat pants really do look amazing, and I'd bet that they are hella comfortable!

Anyone own a pair of field pants? (whatever revision...) What are they like for every-day wear?

acorn_giblet May 10th, 2009 13:07

Actually I'd be interested in knowing what the combat pants are like for every-day wear as well.. If you have an older pair I'd be interested to hear if you've used them that way!

Haha yeah I know what you mean... I generally use my kit for a lot more than airsoft these days though. Generally I use my camo and good portions of my kit when I go camping and hunting...

Yeah I was shocked by that price as well! But to be fair it does include all the plates except for the front/rear SAPI plates... That stuff is expensive...

Where does it say that?

FOX_111 May 10th, 2009 17:25

I'm outclassed in everything except maybe a top BDU that I would probably pay 140$ if it fitted me perfect.
For the rest... it will stay right there.
