I don't know about you, but a screeching beep beep coming from the charger doesn't sound like a good thing. I'd recommend charging it normally, it benefits the charger, the battery and your sanity in the end.

I believe the manual for the charger says the 1.8 is for batteries above 3000mah, .9 for less.

Erm ... What manual? lol i never got one

And thanks for the awnser i did charge it a .9 just going to have to charge it a bit before

i charge even 4500 mAH with .9A. its safer and it gives it a better charge. with 1.8A i notice that it just heats up the battery fast but it dies quicker vs a slow charged one.

I bought this charger as well, and I've had no problems with it. I charge my 3600mah Intellect battery pack with it on 1.8 and I have had no problems so far. Remember to hook up the temperature probe, which will cause the charger to stop charging if the battery heats up too much.

Never charge a battery above 1C. A 1400mah battery should never be charged at more than 1.4 amps.

Hey Turnbull, where exactly do you put the temperature probe? I just got one of these chargers (came in the mail roughly an hour ago, in fact) thanks!

take a rubber band, and strap the probe head to the middle of the pack.

make sure when u charge the batt it isnt on a carpet or anything flammable.

make sure nothing is blocking or covering the charger.

cheers

these are great little chargers.
