Doctor sight mount for rifles

Through my internet browsing I've come across some AR's with doctor sights mounted to them, on a riser type mount. If I recall properly its a block type mount similar to the ones for the Aimpoint minipoints.

The question is, does anyone know where I can get one of these mounts? I've ripped through most HK retailers and havnt found anything that would seem to work without having to be mounted onto another scope.

Please note I'm not talking about the flat mount that attaches to the rail, or the mounts that fit the doctor sights onto a scope (acog or other). I'm looking for a mount riser that will raise the site enough to effectively use it as a primary aiming tool.

Thanks

I don't even think there's such thing as a Doctor mount for rifles.
Only one I know is for Acogs.

But who would actually use Doctor sights for rifles? They're really too small to work with, unless you take alot of time trying to line your eye with the dot.

IMO, you're better off getting th Aimpoint Micro with the riser.

I seen real steel versions of high mount Doctor sights, with integrated riser. I don't think it has been cloned yet, though.

When I use my Doctersight on any long arms, I mount it to the Doctersight rail mount (it's fairly low profile, though) and then mount it on top of an A.R.M.S. #17DR Throw Lever Dovetail Rail Mount

That's a nice mount, looks perfect for an Aimpoint micro on a AR platform too.

Thanks guys. I think The Saint has an idea what I'm talking about.

I had a feeling Illusion would have a solution for me =). With the doctor mounted on the mount, it seems like it still would be too low, or is it just my perception.

Regardless, I'll give it a try, and see if I can find anything else to give it a boost.

Thanks!

My suggested solution will allow the doctersight to co-witness with your BUIS.
