sompthing i heard about hfc134

Product Description

HFC-134a

It is internationally recognized that HFC-134a is the first and ideal choice to replace freon (CFCs product). The product is featured with no damage to the ozonosphere (ODP=0)safe non-toxicity and non-flammable.

HFC-134a is the substitution of CFC-12 in refrigeration, polymer foaming, acrosol producing, etc., which is widely used in automobile air-conditioning, home applications, small fixed refrigerators, medium-temperature refrigerators in supermarkets and industrial refrigerators.

As the research carrying on, HFC-134a is to be used as carrier of pharmaceutical inhalation. HFC-134a could also be used in the acrosol productioin with its extreme limitation in toxicity and flammability.

It's also become hard to find since almost all dusters have switched to Difluoroethane.

Was there a point you wanted to make?

i just thought this information could be used as a reference for other airsofters who want to know more about hfc134 while they search for gas airsoft guns.

We use mostly propane in Canada, FYI.

Tetrafluoroethane used to be easy to find, but due to kids huffing it was replaced with difluoroethane. I still have access to a couple brands of tetra, which is good because difluoroethane and mag seals don't play well together.

The point is moot though. Almost everything runs on propane now.

It's amazing how stupid children cause things to fall apart. They don't even have to do something stupid with an airsoft gun to ruin an aspect of the sport.

yup. I still have access to Tetrafluoroethane at work and can order more but we have started to carry difluoroethane as well.
