I know its a noob question but will downgradeing my spring reduce FPS and range? and will it increase my ROF

Generally. Though if you put any mods into the gun to increase FPS, you need a powerful enough spring to return the piston all the way forward before the mechbox finishes cycling, otherwise bad things happen. In a stock gun though this shouldn't be a problem.
