So.... price goes up and quality goes down?

This could be beneficial to us, CA will most likely bring black (in the US) and/or semi-clear guns to Crossman's market. Sounds like the B&T MP5s, ARs, and AUG will be on the menu. If places like Canadian Tire and Walmart start carrying it, it could bring about the "move into the public eye" a segment of this community seems to favor.

It could also have negative repercussions if idiots get a hold of them and start generating bad press, so hopefully sales will be better controlled than Canadian Tire and Walmart sales usually are (hahahaha yes, that's right, we're fucked).

Fixed ;).

I'm iffy on this, I could see prices go up and QA go down for CA again which would be a bad move for them. But, since they have REALLY turned themselves around with their QA. CA's sportlines truly do catch my eye, since they will have so many guns available at what would be low cost with out being too low that just anyone will be able to get ((ie. little timmy on a $5/week allowance)). CA and Crossman are gonna work together what ever we think say, so let's just wait and see what happens :P.

Crossman and Crossman Canada

are not the same thing.. there is no reason to think that this will result in CA being freely imported and retailed in Canada through the existing Crossman distribution channels.

It's not even that, when I visited Buffalo and Orlando I found that outdoor stores such as Bass Pro still carried the same clear low-end stuff as what we have up here, they have walls of real steel instead :P

I don't think the market is big enough yet for any of this to workout =/ at least we have G&G right now.

It sounds to me from that article like Crosman will simply become a North American (USA at the very least) distributor of CA guns. I don't think we'll see the regular line of CA metal guns suffer from this. And it sounds like Crosman will have its own new line of airsoft guns too - I would suspect more than likely rebranded CA Sportsline guns.

Time will tell, but I don't necessarily see this as a bad thing. And I don't see any CA guns making it to the Canadian market any more than now, except maybe the new Crosman line.

So an Armalite, an AUG, and what else, a TMP? Gas blowback maybe?

Harbinger of Darkness January 8th, 2009 15:39

More than likely the B&T will be an MP5 variant. :)

Crunchmeister January 8th, 2009 15:40

Yup. Same thing that CA have now - Armalite, MP5 and AUG.... I really don't see anything changing by this except a higher availability of CA guns in the US - the same that are currently available, and a new line of Crosman guns made by CA.

LOL so whats the big deal... Won't they all end up at cybergun.. ie. like ICS and KWC... an so on.....
