Look what the mailman dropped off - Echo 1 P90

Was home for lunch, and the nice Canada Post dude rang the doorbell to being me the latest addition to my collection.

Haven't had time to try it out as I had to get back to work quickly, but it looks and feels excellent. Top quality build as far as I can tell after 5 minutes with it. Will post some pics taken with my actual camera instead of iPhone later on. The battery is on the charger right now and I'll get to give it a test fire later tonight. I'll report back with my findings...

it's a metal body?

Crunchmeister November 3rd, 2008 13:54

The upper receiver is all metal, the rest of the body is plastic, as with the real steel. The metal feels nice and solid. I removed the upper and examined it quickly. Looks very solid from what I could tell. I didn't hear any creaks in the plastic and didn't notice apparent seam lines or anything. But only had it in hand for about 5 minutes, so couldn't really get much detail. I'll post more details when I get a chance to play with it more and examine it closer in better lighting.

Lucky guy, it looks really nice. I wouldn't mind expanding my collection to include something like this one day.

Styrak November 3rd, 2008 14:01

Jesus, didn't know you ordered one of these, or that they were available for order at all.

pusangani November 3rd, 2008 14:03

ahh the upper yes, as per RS specs lol, not a P90 man myself but a new addition to the arsenal is always very nice!

Coolness.

Metal upper P90 (hopefully) for cheap. Price?

Disco_Dante November 3rd, 2008 14:18

When you open it up, keep your eyes open for signs of whoever made it for Echo1 please. I must say I'm intrigued to find out who makes this thing.

Crunchmeister November 3rd, 2008 14:26

Unless my supplier feels like piping in with details (and he shouldn't in this public thread), I'll leave it at saying that it was significantly cheaper than a TM - along the lines of what you'd pay for a regular JG.

Let us know how it performs and I might consider buying one :)

Dusti69 November 3rd, 2008 15:38

yea i might have to get one of these sometime too. its probly a tm clone
did it come shooting pretty hot stock?

Crunchmeister November 3rd, 2008 15:49

Not to be a dick, but perhaps reading some of my previous posts might clear up some questions...

And yes, 100% TM clone, only with a metal receiver.

he hasn't shot it yet, he went home for lunch and found it waiting for him and had to run back to work, he will test it later and let us know.
