Night-Friendly AK47

So I have a stock Kraken (2000+ rounds no problems, stock battery too). What are some ways I can make it more night-friendly? I couldn't even see my own sights so I put some glow in the dark stickers on the sights and that helps just to line them up, and short of adding rails and a laser, taclite or RDS, what can I do? Engagements are mostly close range.

Well you can add real german night sights (Element makes a clone), they have 2 large glow in the dark dots you line up.

a TM Tracer unit might work but can get expensive getting ammo for it...

An AK? Simple.

Problem Solved!

Maybe you can add these to tickle your fancy! You'll attract all the child pedophiles at night :P

for a day or two on my bros ak after id put a scope rail on it for him. i put a blue tac light up on it and in the dark it illuminated the front sight and a bit in front of it so youd be able to aim in the dark

Something like that might do the trick, same idea as the east german night sights. Quite frankly though, I find iron sights in airsoft are next to useless. Just watch your trace, thats the benefit of having slow moving (relative to bullets) rounds that are white, it's like every one is a tracer.

I've used night sights until rear part was lost in Muskoka. It worked pretty good but you may need to add a bit of phosphorous paint to get better results.

thats exactly true
i am able to hit tiny targets and be quite quick and accurate by just holding the gun up and looking down the side of it. wherever my face points is where it shoots
therefore a decent flashlight would do you better at night than any glow in the dark stuff. if you cant see what youre aiming at, how do you aim at it?

Wrath144 August 28th, 2008 17:30

If I'm in a shadow, and there are multiple targets in moonlight, and I'm playing in semi, and it's close range, every shot counts. I can't expect to miss even one shot and stay alive. And you can't follow your bb's in the dark anyway.

pusangani August 28th, 2008 17:30

the flashlight also allows you to see the trail of bb's as they're shot out too, not very effective if you're using locaps tho hehe

Woo flashlights. "AIM FOR THE LIGHT". Always a good plan.

what about tactical fleshlights?

Dusti69 August 28th, 2008 18:59

yea and then that guy launching the purple rubber dildo out of his grenade launcher has something to aim at

seriously just hold the gun up like youre aiming with your cheek on the stock and keep it against the side of your face and wherever you turn thats where youll be shooting
